Mission Statement

To provide the necessary support for every Cincinnati Public School student to engage in extracurricular activities throughout the year, offering the opportunity to build leadership, teamwork, responsibility and self-discipline to help them succeed in life.

Description

Activities Beyond the Classroom (ABC), formerly the Student Activity Foundation, was founded in 2004 to increase and enhance extracurricular activities in Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS). We raise funds from corporations, foundations and individuals to support those activities. ABC sponsors programs across the District, from Youth Tennis and Soccer, to Arts Enrichment and Martial Arts.

In addition, through a partnership established with CPS in 2011, we manage the athletic purchasing budgets of 13 high schools, and the Athletic Directors at 9 of those schools are employees of ABC.

We also host booster funds for a variety of CPS programs and activities.
