Purpose of WakeMed Volunteer Services Departments:
To provide services supplemental to essential services which contribute to total patient care; to help create and promote in the community an understanding of the healthcare system and its services through the volunteer who becomes a part of the organization family; to provide an environment for learning and skills development; and to provide to the community a means of giving to meet the human needs.
The Volunteers at WakeMed Raleigh Campus and The Volunteers at WakeMed Cary Hospital recognize their place in the community and their dedication to excellent patient care and encourage the participation of interested and qualified individuals in volunteer services to the hospital.
