URF|USA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charity. We are an international and grassroots Community-Based Organization that exists on non-political, non-denominational, and non-sectarian principles. Our vision is based upon bringing together all interested individuals and groups to join our efforts in ensuring that AIDS orphans, needy children, and marginalized communities (especially those affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic) are empowered and reintegrated into society as we develop and maintain thriving, productive, and sustainable communities. Uganda Rural Fund is a small nonprofit grassroots organizations that aims at supporting orphans, underprivilleged youth and women in Uganda's rural communities, especially those most affected by the AIDS epidemic. We achieve this goal through creating educational and sustainable development opportunities for these marginalized groups. We operate an orphanage, a brick making project, a piggery project, fish ponds, banana plantations, etc.

We are currently building a school for orphans. Hope Integrated Academy (www.hopeacademyuganda.org) will consist of a vocational school, a community library, a computer center, and a health clinic. These resources will be used by students and teachers from about 12 schools in the neighboring villages, and adults from the community. The center will also bring internet, clean water, and renewable energy to the community.
