Mission Statement

The mission of the Westport Department of Human Services is to promote independence, personal development and an enhanced quality of life for Westport residents of all ages.

Description

The Westport Mentor Program was established in 1992 by the Department of Human Services in cooperation with our school system. It is a school-based program where individuals from our community meet for 45 minutes per week, on school grounds, during the school year, to offer friendship, support-and a non-judgmental ear. Mentors are matched to students grade K-12.
