Mission Statement

The Ombudsman Program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities acts with and on behalf of residents in nursing homes and assisted living. Ombudsmen observe the care in general and respond to specific complaints received from residents, their families, and staff members. Ombudsmen are advocates for residents, protecting their rights and promoting their well-being.

Description

The Ombudsman Program provides information and education about nursing homes and assisted living and the admissions process. It investigates and helps resolve resident and family complaints in nursing homes and assisted living homes.
