Tempe Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a community-based membership organization that empowers residents of all ages to connect and support each other in order to enhance lives and strengthen community for the best quality of life possible.

Description

TNHN goal is to provide volunteer help to seniors that supports them in maintaining independence in their home, with dignity and a better quality of life.

Volunteers are asked to help 2 hours (or more) a month to support those 55+ to Stay Active, Healthy and Connected to the Community.

Support for Aging in Place. Projects such as Tempe Neighbors Helping Neighbors. A developing project from Association of Governments (MAG), this agency does something for free for those that provide something to help Tempe neighbors aging in place such as Dog Walking, Rides to appointments and more. AZCaregiver Coalition provides this agency as a valuable option to those living independent and family caregivers. Light Yard Work (owner occupied dwellings only) Minor home repairs or safety assessments and more Resident-Owner occupied-65 years or with a confirmed disability-Income at or below 150% of federal poverty levels (monthly income for individual is $1353.00 or less and for couples is$1821.25 or less per month)-no one living at residence capable of doing work requested-all utilities functioning-resident will be responsible for costs of supplies.
