Our mission is to connect young with disabilities to our community through social and educational experiences. Our social enterprise, PawsAbilities, operates a dog treat bakery to provide skills training and job placement to our members. We are looking for board members who are willing to share our mission and help us grow. If you want to be a part of community change, innovation and forward thinking this is the place for you. PawsAbilities is a KC based nonprofit that serves young adults with disabilities. In our employment skills training program, we operate a social enterprise that creates dog products such as treats, bandannas, toys, hats, towels and sell these products at various vendor events around KC. We need help with any of the following- pack up for the events-typically week day or evening unpack and put product away-typically week day or evening help with booth set up-typically Thursday or Friday during the day or evening Help booth tear down-mostly Saturday or Sunday evening Work the booth at events-operate square for sales, be able to communicate our mission, help restock shelves-4-6 hour shifts usually thursday - Sunday. All around the KC area but mostly KC. We sell at Old Settlers, Holiday Mart, Holiday Boutique, Dog days at Scheels, Farmers Market in Olathe and Lenexa. Any help is appreciated.

Our nonprofit trains and employs young adults with disabilities in our dog treat and toy business, PawsAbilities. We need individuals to volunteers to help to make dog treats, cut and braid tshirts for toys and cut and pin fabric for bandannas. We are always in need of individuals with a an artistic flair to help decorate treats. Relaxed fun environment where volunteers make a tremendous impact and are appreciated! Some work can be done at home.
