LITA, "Love Is The Answer", is a non-profit agency founded in 1975 to match volunteers as one-to-one friends with people who live in convalescent hospitals. LITA is non-sectarian, and there is no charge for LITA's services.Many residents of long-term care facilities have no visitors. Community involvement in these facilities helps to insure quality care and makes the community a better place for everyone.
Mission Statement
The purpose of LITA, "Love Is The Answer", is to improve the quality of life and lessen the loneliness of nursing home residents by providing volunteer visitors as one-to-one friends.
