FOLGC cleans trash out of Los Gatos and Guadalupe Creeks and is working toward the day that the creeks are clean and healthy for wildlife and humans. The group has removed 75 tons of trash in 18 months and been instrumental in getting competing government agencies (city, county, water district, caltrans) to live up to their legal responsibilities in areas where they have jurisdiction over the creeks. They have helped remove all of the homeless encampments from many sections of the creek and been a forceful voice for getting cities to address the plight of the homeless in a more humane way than letting them live on creekbeds in extremely dangerous conditions while fouling the environment.
