MISSION

Dedicated to ending hunger

Through advocacy, supporting sound public policy and strategic communications, we take action to end hunger and assure food security for all Minnesotans. We use our resources to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of our members.

• We believe the basic needs of all individuals should be met.

• We believe food security is the right of every person. We respect the culture and community of those most impacted by hunger and give voice to their needs.

• Our actions are informed by the study of the underlying and systemic causes of hunger.

• We know that solutions to hunger are produced through leadership, creating a vision, increased public awareness and strategic alliances.

• We value our employees, members and other stakeholders and treat all with dignity and respect.

Hunger Solutions is a state-wide partnership of organizations dedicated to eliminating the root causes of hunger.

We work to end hunger today and in the future by:

• providing efficient, centralized food distribution services
• expanding the capacity of food shelves to serve their communities
• generating and distributing vital funds for members
• serving as a voice for the hungry in Minnesota
• advocating for solutions that attack hunger at its roots
