The Volunteer Center serves Charlottesville, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson Counties in Central Virginia. We maintain a database of nearly 300 volunteer opportunities at nonprofit and government agencies and schools in our area. We serve youth, adults, groups, seniors and families who are looking to volunteer in our community.
Mission Statement
United Way-Thomas Jefferson Area brings together community leaders, nonprofit organizations, volunteers and businesses to assess and focus on the most pressing needs and those at greatest risk in our community. We mobilize the resources -- human, technical and financial -- to attach the root causes of these needs. That is how we make life better...right here at home.
