If you are looking for a fulfilling weekly volunteer position helping seniors and people with disabilities maintain their independence, this is for you! Deliveries are made on Friday between 10:00am and 12:00pm. Food Boxes are already packed and ready for pickup at the Portland Open Bible Church. Each week you'll deliver to your clients, enjoy a brief visit and know you've made a huge difference to someone in need. We have routes available in SE, NE, N, SW Portland and Beaverton! You use your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed, 62.5 cents every mile). Valid drivers license and background checks are required. Complete training is provided. It's a fun way to make a difference on your own, with your family, or as part of a group. Shopping starts at 8:30am and training is provided. Orders are usually filled by 10:00am. Our mission is to support independent living for Portland area seniors and people with disabilities by providing a low-cost, volunteer-based grocery shopping and delivery service.
Description
Established in 1989, Store to Door is a nonprofit organization which provides weekly personalized, low-cost grocery shopping and delivery service for seniors and people with disabilities. Our friendly volunteers fill and deliver more than 11,000 orders annually. We serve Portland and Beaverton, and are the only service of the kind in the area.
