Mission Statement

Core believes all children have the right to reach their full potential and pursue individual success. Our mission is to strengthen character, build brilliant minds and create brighter futures for our community’s most under-resourced youth. ABOUT THE ROGERS FOUNDATION: The Rogers Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Founded in 2013 by Jim and Beverly Rogers, The Rogers Foundation awards scholarships to individual students in Southern Nevada, grants to educational institutions, initiatives, educators, artists and organizations that support the arts in Southern Nevada.

Description

Core is an in-and-out of school model that focuses on the development and empowerment of Southern Nevada's under-resourced youth. Focusing on the areas of basic needs, character education, academic engagement, community service, cultural enrichment, and mentorship, our approach is based on the philosophy that long-term, comprehensive support will break the cycle of poverty and allow the young adults we serve to reach their full potential.

What a day!! It is very good and gratifying to know that a little help will make the return to school happier for 152 children. Thanks Core, and Jennifer, for giving me the opportunity to collaborate with such a beautiful and important work for the Las Vegas community! You guys made my day happier. :)
