Mission Statement

Lewisville Lions Club is a service organization, with the goal of assisting the Lewisville, Texas, area and aiding people in need, since 1945, especially those who are sight impaired. Our motto: "We Serve".

Description

The Lewisville Lions Club takes an active role in serving our community. Our ongoing projects include vision screenings for children and adults, eyeglass recycling, creek cleanup, Camp Summit cleanup, and Sports Extravaganza volunteering. Money collected by our 501(C)3 Foundation, through donations, grants, and fund-raising activities, goes toward the Texas Lions Camp, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Salvation Army, and other organizations serving people who are disabled and those in need of assistance. Our web site is www.lewisvillelions.org.

The Lewisville Lions Club, established in 1945, is chartered by Lions Clubs International, headquartered in Oak Brook, IL. Lions Clubs International was formed in 1917, with the first convention held in Dallas, Texas. Lions International is now the largest service club in the world, having over 1.35 million members in almost every country in the world. We invite you to learn more about the Lions Clubs International organization at their website, www.lionsclubs.org.
