Mission Statement

Promoting the health and welfare of marine life in the Pacific Northwest.

Description

SR3 Sealife Response, Rehab, and Research is the first of its kind non-profit in Washington dedicated to promoting the health and welfare of marine wildlife in the Pacific Northwest. SR3 is a collaborative effort with NOAA, the University of Washington, SeaDoc Society, and more to provide the first and much needed dedicated marine wildlife rehabilitation and science facility in Washington. The facility will also serve as a research and teaching institute to tackle big ocean health issues while helping future generations learn to care for our oceans. Currently SR3 is actively responding to injured/stranded marine wildlife, disentangling marine animals, monitoring local killer whale health and world whale health, researching Sea Star Wasting Disease, and mentoring students.
