Truck Helpers are the heart of our pick-up and delivery operations. Helpers accompany our truck drivers to assist with loading and unloading food and donations. We need 1 - 2 helpers per truck, each day. This program is ideal for someone who has no major physical limitations and can be physically active for most of the shift. Please come and help us. Serve, learn, and grow! · Openings available Mon - Sat, 4-5 hours per day. Minimum age 18. · Operate an automated lift gate, hand pallet jack or cart. May lift 50 lbs. or more. Orientation and training provided. · Prefer a minimum commitment of 1 day per week or several a month, but we’re flexible.

Help pack and provide emergency food packages to food insecure people. Multiple events at our Mesa and Chandler (mobile) distributions. Be a part of our family program distributions or special distributions only to Veterans and Seniors. These are wonderful opportunity to experience first-hand, the impact of volunteering your time to help, as well as community contact with people in need. Organizations with volunteer teams of 6 are great in this area, but this also works well as a recurring volunteer position or just once if that fits your needs With so many opportunities find out where and how you can help.

Truck drivers are the backbone of our pick-up and delivery activities for our food and thrift store operations. Requirements: Minimum age 25. Current driver’s license. Good driving record. CDL not required. We provide training and route orientation. Ideal for someone with no major physical limitations and can be physically active for most of the shift. Prefer a minimum commitment of 1 day per week or several a month, but we are flexible. We have a separate volunteer listing for Truck Helpers who accompany the drivers on routes to load and unload items. · Food Route Truck Driver: Openings available Mon - Sat, usually start at 7:00 am. Drive a 24-ft. refrigerated truck. Pick up mostly nutritional perishable food from grocery and commercial sources. Operate automated lift, hand pallet jack or cart. Involves lifting to 50 lbs., usually 20 - 30 lbs. · Thrift Store Truck Driver: Openings available Mon - Sat, minimum of 4 hours per day. Drive a 24-ft truck stake bed truck. Pick up or deliver furniture, appliances, and other items at commercial or residential sites. Operate an automated lift, hand pallet jack or cart. Involves lifting 50 lbs. or more.

Our RSM food pantry provides 300 - 500 non-perishable food boxes each month to feed eligible seniors, veterans, and low-income housing residents. There's all kinds of work involved, such as food sorting, product placement, bulk food breakdown and packaging, and food box assembly. If you have a heart to serve those in need, and like to see the completed fruits of your labor, join us in this joyful work! We are a Community Service approved location. We need volunteers almost everyday for most of these actions. We can accommodate large groups or just you for helping put nutritional food into needy hands. Serve, learn, and grow!

S.T.U.F.F. Thrift Store, established in 1999 to support Nonprofit Organizations dedicated to caring for Veterans, Senior Citizens, Group Home Residents and Families in Crisis. We are a Community Service approved location as well as our parent food bank. Founded and operated by all volunteer teams, without which could not help as many people as it does. If you have a caring heart and a desire to serve, please join us as a Thrift Store Associate. Previous experience in thrift store operation or retail is useful, but not necessary. Groups are always welcome for special projects. Openings available: Mon - Sat, 8 AM to 7 PM Flexible scheduling to fit your ability to help. · General Tasks: Sort donations, hang clothes, tag for pricing, organize, assemble furniture/items, clean, arrange and rotate displays, load and unload donations, assist customers, bagging, help customers load purchases. Ability to understand instructions. Spanish skills are helpful. · We also need Associates with any of these skills, or a willingness to learn: Computers, accessories, and audio equipment hook-up, testing, and set-up. Basic tool and yard equipment knowledge, e.g., reading a tape measure, tightening table legs, sorting light fixtures from lamps, and basic hardware knowledge. Experience with credit and cash sales, friendly, counting change back, working with the public, answering phones. Leadership experience always welcome.
