Rainbow Rumpus

First of all, I like the mission of Rainbow Rumpus. As the world's only on-line literary magazine for children of LGBT parents, it gives a voice to an often forgotten group. Rainbow Rumpus provides a safe, fun, and empowering place for young people to create and enjoy art, break through isolation, and build community. I've had an opportunity to work with the board and with Laura, the publisher. The people I've met are all truly dedicated to the mission. Both Rainbow Rumpus for children and Rainbow Riot for teens are great magazines. I've also downloaded the children's books for my grandsons. Rainbow Rumpus relies on its volunteers, and I feel valued for my contributions. I feel very fortunate that I was "matched" with this organization.

I've been working with Rainbow Rumpus for over a year now, and it's a great project and an amazing team. I've gotten to help with the implementation of a complete redesign of the site, get new features in place for the visitors/readers, and smooth out rough spots in the new site as the production team finds them. It's been a fun ride! Laura is an excellent and savvy manager, and it's been a joy working with her team.
