eVIP Internship Program

Become a Volunteer Intern with Orange County's Environmental Protection Division! This program is available for College and High School Students. Internships are available for Fall, Spring and Summer. The student must commit to at least one semester long internship (with option to extend). Two Internship options are available: Community Involvement and Environmental Science. Students must complete the eVIP Internship Application, eVIP Volunteer Forms, and pass a Background Screening through the EPD. Please use this link to learn more about both Internship options.

Spearhead a storm drain labeling project in your community! Orange County eVIP provides all of the supplies, a one-hour training, and support to create an enjoyable and meaningful service project. Please help us to keep our surface water clean and storm drains functioning properly. A great project for groups, families, HOA's and Scout Troops!

Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Program

Orange County is partnering with the UF/ IFAS LAKEWATCH program to provide volunteers with the training and equipment they need to perform water quality testing on local lakes. Volunteers will participate in activities such as analyzing salinity, documenting water clarity and determining nitrogen levels of local water bodies.
