PFLAG Winston-Salem is the local Winston-Salem, NC chapter of the National PFLAG organization. PFLAG Winston-Salem offers support services to the GLBT community and their families and friends in various ways, including a monthly support group, monthly programs, educational workshops, and an annual awards banquet to recognize those who have promoted acceptance in our community. PFLAG Winston-Salem is very active and is governed by a board of directors. Our website is full of useful resource information and information on upcoming events and programs.
Mission Statement
Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG Winston-Salem chapter), promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons through education-to enlighten an ill-informed public, support- to cope with an adverse society, and advocacy- to end discriminiation and secure equal civil rights.
