Do you love magazines, want to help kids and families thrive, and care about the environment? Help us change the world - one magazine at a time!

MagazineLiteracy.org gets new and recycled magazines to at-risk children and families who want to learn and love to read. Our primary focus is homeless children and families; moms and children in domestic violence shelters; youth in mentoring programs; hungry families receiving groceries from food pantries; teens and adults in job training programs; and kids in foster care.

Mission Statement

Our mission and passion is to build an enormous literacy pipeline and to challenge the citizens of the world to fill it with magazines.

If your eyes light up when your magazine subscription arrives in the mail or when you visit a magazine newsstand, then you know the joy of a child who receives his or her very own magazine. Learning how to read is vital to a child's ability to succeed in every school subject and in life.

Many people can't read - a cereal box, a job description, or this web page. Illiterate adults were once children who missed their chance to learn to read. A child who cannot read is unable to do well in any school subject. Many teachers do not have good reading materials for their students. Many children do not have reading materials at home. We help feed kids hungry to read and succeed.

MagazineLiteracy.org helps kids and families learn to read and to build their self-esteem by mobilizing business and community literacy partnerships that provide wonderful children's magazines to schools, and other reading programs. Your support unleashes the awesome potential of children' s magazines as a powerful literacy resource for kids and families.

Join with us to change the world - one magazine at a time!
