Rainbow House

Rainbow House provides single young mothers long term (12-24 months) transitional housing and the opportunity to attain independent living skills. Participants enroll in an educational or job training program leading to employment in the personâ s field of choice. Young women ages 18-24 years old and their children are the participants in the Rainbow House program. House residents are offered a wide variety of workshops presented by community non-profit agencies and individuals within the working world.

Home Base

This Napa County program supports young men and women ages 18 to 24 years of age who are homeless or have recently been in the foster care or juvenile justice systems. Services include affordable housing; financial, educational, and housing counseling through case management; mental health and drug and alcohol counseling; job training, and workshops designed to help them become independent, self-sufficient and successful adults. Two housing sites are available to house 19 youth. Transitional Housing Program 12-24 months.

Volunteers for either of these programs can mentor the clients, do receptionist and secretarial duties, yard maintenance, computer design of brochures and fliers plus database development and management. Volunteers report to the House Coordinator, who provides both training and orientation.

Volunteers can offer workshops related to many fields, including computer training, financial planning, image presentation and many others.
