Mission Statement

The mission of Hospice Compassus is to provide care, comfort, and compassion to all with a terminal illness. Hospice Compassus strives to provide quality of life when the quantity of life is limited. Our further objective is to enhance the life left and to permit nature to guide our course. When we can no longer extend the days in life, our goal is to extend life in the days.

I lost a brother to AIDS in 1995. My brother was accepted by my family as a homosexual and in his last days and hours we all were there for him. We all had a chance to spend time with him and he died peacefully with all us sitting on the bed touching him letting him know it was OK. I guess this made my healing easier but I have always felt that I could of done more and I have a whole in my heart. I always think about the people like my brother who die alone. I would like to share my story and honor my brothers memory my giving love, respect and dignity to someone who is dying with aids. I live in the Bacliff area. Do you know of anyone I could help?
