We have two main fundraising events: The Empire State AIDS Ride is a 560-mile bicycle ride from Niagara Falls, NY to NYC, and takes place in August. Participants raise $3,500 to support AIDS community service providers in New York State and breakthrough research grants at UCSF.
The NYCDC AIDS Research Ride is an annual 330-mile September ride from NYC to Washington, DC, to raise money for specific research projects. The 2009 recipient is Dr. Yuntao Wu, whose Sept. 5, 2008 research paper in the journal Cell has opened doors to new therapies and a possible cure for HIV. Participation in both events is limited to the first 100 registrants.Mission Statement

- Support innovative HIV/AIDS programs based in New York State.
- Support innovative U.S. university- and not-for-profit-based AIDS research.
- Raise public awareness of the ongoing AIDS epidemic.
