The Goodwill model uses real work experience to help train and develop individuals who experience barriers to employment, be that a physical, psychological, social or development obstacle. Through the donations of gently used household goods and clothing, Goodwill utilizes a workforce to process donated goods, sell donated goods through its retail outlets and also participates in other work projects with a common goal: job training for individuals that have been excluded, either voluntarily or involuntarily, from the competitive labor market.
