Mission Statement

Orphan World Relief seeks to provide financial aid to relief efforts for the millions of orphaned children around the world. The number of orphaned children in the world over 147 million and is a tragedy of the twenty-first century and it is growing worse daily.

Additionally, Orphan World Relief seeks to educate Americans about the plight of the orphan outside of the United States in areas where little or no social services exist. Orphaned children all over the world are treated as second class citizens and often abused, neglected, sold into prostitution or worse.

Description

Our vision is to help orphanages and orphan relief providers create an environment of safety and support, meeting their basic human needs by providing them with basic financial support. Often, non profit agencies spend a great deal of time, effort and resources raising support. Our job is to raise the support for them while they fight the battle for orphaned children where needed across the globe.

Fund Raising
Fund raising will be ongoing and cover four major areas:
1. Large Corporate Gifts: One time gifts by companies, organizations and philanthropists will be sought.
2. Ongoing Corporate Grants: A regular financial commitment (whether annual, monthly etc.) will provide long-term sustaining dollars for orphanages as opposed to one-time gifts. Both the Large Gifts and Ongoing Grants will take considerable effort to obtain and work to maintain the relationship to ensure ongoing support.
3. Individual Giving: Target groups will be identified and sought after as sources of individual giving. Direct marketing campaigns will begin in the second or third year.
4. Government Aid: From time-to-time government aid is available in the form of grants to small businesses and relief efforts.

Children are my life. As a Director of education and preschool teacher I have directly worked with chidren. While in P.R. China I was able to go to an orpanage and pick up some of the children. Of course there were mainly girls. They also have an area for parents who have disabled children to learn how to do the physical therapy was needed and were apid to do this. DIANN

I have worked for Orphan World Relief for a few months now. I believe in this organization and the mission of OWR. I have been fortunate enough to work with the organization and indirectly help children in Orphanages all over the world. It is a great organization to volunteer with if you enjoy helping others and enjoy helping children in need.

This is an organization that someone should volunteer or be an intern for, because of the vision. These children in these orphanages needs more support from people who aren't associated with them. This organization is trying to show these children love, and OWR will continue to do so.
