The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a voluntary health agency รข a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.

MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education.

Description

Two million volunteersare the driving force that enables MDA to accelerate its worldwide research program and provide diagnostic and follow-up care through some 230 clinics nationwide. Volunteers are the backbone of the Association's programs, helping with summer camp, support groups, seminars, Telethon, special events and many other programs.
