Mission Statement

PICA acknowledges and advances new developments in contemporary art while fostering the creative explorations of artists and audiences.For more than eleven years, PICA's visual exhibition and performance programs have combined an energetic mix of national and international artists of all disciplines with Portland's burgeoning regional talents and creativity, provided resources for artists to create new work through artist residencies, and inspired the minds of the city's community, students, and art lovers through education and outreach activities.
