Our mission is to eliminate poverty, its causes and symptoms, in developing mountain communities around the world.

In many mountain communities, simple and direct actions can be taken right now, today. These simple and direct actions can produce a real impact on the lives of mountain people and the environments they call home. The Mountain Fund specializes in what we call "real people projects." These are actions that ordinary people can take for very little money, and which create huge impacts in the remote villages where we work.

We invite you to see our people-sized projects, to see what you can do today with a very small amount of money to change lives. You will be amazed to discover how little it takes to educate children, provide healthcare to a village or help to build a school. As a donor, these are personal projects you can support and take ownership of. These are villages and people that you, too, can come to know by name and feel connected to on a very deep level. That's the magic of people-sized projects, the ability to see for yourself exactly what your contribution is doing, not as a concept, but up-close and personal.
