Mission Statement

Our mission is to demonstrate God's love with action and truth by establishing programs which meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness, disenfranchised veterans and indigent persons and families in the DC Metro area. We seek not to just give them a fish, but teach them how to fish in accordance with 1John 3:17-18.

Description

iCare, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides programs and services for people experiencing homelessness, disenfranchised veterans and indigent persons and families throughout the DC Metropolitan area.

The organization was started in January 2012 by licensed caterers, Kevin and Marie Huffman, who leveraged their culinary expertise to serve their community by voluntarily sponsoring and catering events for homeless shelters, low-income neighborhoods and their local church. Now, we have expanded the scope from charitable food service to include fundraising efforts to launch programs that can improve the lives of many people by ending hunger and homelessness.

We are seeking volunteers who share our passion for serving people experiencing homelessness, disenfranchised veterans and indigent persons in the DC Metropolitan area.
