Mission Statement

To not just see but also help students and young adults who have sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury succeed in both school and life. To give students living with and without disabilities the chance as well an opportunity to not only work together with their peers who live with a TBI but to also learn from one another and make their schools or the communities that they live in a whole lot better. 2 focuses on service: survivors and families

Description

Traumatic Brain Injury affects over 1.7 million Americans every year. This is more than what Breast Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Multiple Scelrosis will affect COMBINED. This is to bring more awareness on the disability and at the same time create more opportunities for students and young adults who live with and without a Traumatic Brain Injury.

This is a volunteer service that both students with AND without disabilities would have the opportunities to gain job skills, leadership skills, become better managers of their time, make a difference in someone else's life, and so much more. This is to create a better life for students and young adults who live with a Traumatic Brain Injury.

We will be working on improving the workforce and education starting here in Stillwater then branching out from there. We are looking at setting up trainings, doing presentations, and having townhall style meetings with those who live with a PTSD & TBI.
