Sylvia is 86 years old, she is overwhelmed by life, if you could call it life. Her support system has been depleted down to social security, Medicaid/Medicare and strangers who are paid to take care of her. She is faced with making decisions of going without shampoo for a month, toothpaste for a week or even toilet paper for a day Sylvia's decision is to put her dignity aside and pay for her daily medications.
Our job here is to provide assistance-to extend a helping hand for fellow Americans like Sylvia. Our program, 'A Gift for You' allows us to express our sincere gratitude and to show tribute to her and others who have served our country and their families with dignity, honor and pride, but, now feel abandoned by those same families and country. We want to send a message that they are not forgotten and to improve the quality of life by remembering them with a gift.
I assure you that A Blanket of Hope has thought with affection and pride of the more than thousands of Senior Citizens who have made sacrifices in their life, and we have thought with gratitude and admiration of the literally thousands of warm-hearted people who have made our home possible through their efforts.
Mission Statement
A Blanket of Hope is a charitable, non-profit 501 (c) (3) national organization based in Arizona. We seek donations, including toiletries and other personal hygiene products, to assemble into and distribute as gift baskets to senior citizens. We do this both as a means for recognizing their generation's contribution to society and to address the financial impact created by living on a fixed income with significant health care expenses
