Mission Statement

No One Goes Hungry In Central & Eastern North Carolina

Description

The Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC at Wilmington plays an important role in the Cape Fear region. Our organization collects and distributes food to over 100 different non-profits.

Every day, we work hard to keep the local food pantries, soup kitchens, kids programs, meals on wheels and homeless shelters stocked with food.

We rely on donations from manufacturers, farmers, corporations and individuals, like you.

In Brunswick, Columbus, Pender and New Hanover counties there are more than 70,000 individuals in need of food assistance. More than 22,000 of those, are children.

We greatly need your support. We greatly appreciate your support.

Together, we'll make sure, No One Goes Hungry in the Cape Fear Region.

The volunteer coordinator was well-informed on recalls and filled me in on everything I needed to know to get started. The other volunteers were experienced and friendly which made working together fun and enjoyable. We were able to ask each other questions. What you put in is what you get out of it. If you are capable of working in warehouse conditions and are looking for some hard work and friendly people, this is an excellent place to volunteer.
