Davie Domestic Violence Services & Rape Crisis Center

Description

Our agency serves men, women, and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Davie area. We help victims with crisis counseling in office and through a 24 crisis line. The agency also helps victims file protective orders in the court system and provides court advocacy. Our organization also offers clients in need clothes, toiletries, emergency cell phones (911 only), shelter assistance, and financial assistance.

DDVS/RCC provides an outreach and prevention program to our community. We teach body safety and dating violence classes in the local daycares and school system. The agency creates and displays agency information at community events to increase awareness and educate the public on domestic violence and sexual assault. We also hold annual fundraisers in order to provide the client services mentioned above.

Though we are a county agency, we run on grants, fundraisers, and donations.
