Mission Statement

T he CHOC’s mission is to provide safe, secure, short term emergency shelter to homeless adults residing in Montgomery County, to provide outreach, information, and referrals to individuals and families living on the streets or at risk of becoming homeless, and to provide community outreach and education to organizations and entities on homeless related housing, health, and behavioral health concerns. In all of the above the CHOC strives for collaborative relationships that promote an individual's recovery and independence in the community as well as a healthy and informed community response to the systemic and economic causes for homelessness and its adverse effects on individuals, families, and the community.
