Habitat for Humanity of Snohomish County is happy to welcome court ordered volunteers the meet our requirements. Court-ordered volunteers must complete 20 or more hours in our Lynnwood or Everett stores before we provide verification of hours. We complete criminal background checks and do not accept volunteers court-ordered for the following: theft or fraud, violent offenses (including dv & assault) and sex offenses. Habitat Stores are second-use home improvement stores that sell quality building material and furniture and dedicate all profits to building homes for low-income families. Volunteers at the Habitat Stores in Everett and Lynnwood help bring people together to build homes, communities and hope. The Habitat Stores contribute every day to the work of strengthening communities, and building decent, safe and affordable homes. Core Duties: Accept donations Sorting out and pricing products Organizing, arranging and stocking shelves and creating displays Assisting customers with purchases Assisting senior team members with other tasks as needed. Habitat Stores are second-use home improvement stores that sell quality building materials, furniture, and other household items to our community. All proceeds from Habitat Store sales support Habitat Snohomish in building and repairing homes for families, right here, in our community! As a Lynnwood Store Volunteer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with interesting people, learn new skills, use your talents, interact with local community members and assist in a variety of store functions. Our stores are a full experience, with both warehouse and sales floor opportunities. Donation Warehouse: Accepting donations, sorting, and pricing products, assisting with inventory organization, bringing items out to the sales floor and other duties as needed Sales floor: Cashiering, organizing, and stocking shelves, creating displays, assisting customers with loading out purchases, customer service No special experience is required for this volunteer position, all interested are welcome. Our amazing store staff will lead the way! The age requirement for this position is 16 and over. We are looking for High School Students 16 and over to join our volunteer team! We support students working towards volunteer credit hours for school. Our Habitat Snohomish Lynnwood Store is looking for volunteers to fill our new Commercial Inventory Clerk volunteer role. Volunteer Need: 2 volunteers who can commit to a set weekly schedule. Schedule: 2 days a week per volunteer. (Our stores are open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm. Shift information is shared below.) Training period: 1 4-hour shift. Support will continue as needed. The Commercial Inventory clerk should be Internet and computer-savvy and feel comfortable working independently. They will assist with: Looking up the current retail value of commercial donation items on the internet and using the set Habitat Snohomish Store pricing guide to assign the appropriate store sale price. Adding new inventory into our point-of-sale system. Tagging each item before it’s taken to the sales floor. You can immediately register to become a Habitat Snohomish volunteer at https://habitatsnohomish.volunteermatters.org. A background check is required. Once approved, you can sign up for an orientation. Once orientation is completed, you will be ready to start volunteering!
