The general history of Africa since achieving independence has been one of development failure. Develop Africa Inc. was birthed out of a response to this need. Develop Africa Inc. seeks to bridge the development deficit gap posed by the continent's long years of mismanagement and rule. Develop Africa Inc. strategic mandate is to raise a new generation of African leaders by focusing on the human capital aspect of development.
As Mistry (2006) suggests aid to Africa has not worked because human, social and institutional capital poses the binding restraint. Develop Africa Inc will utilize systematic progressive steps to address the issue of human development.
Through training, scholarship, investment and partnerships with NGO's Develop Africa is committed to developing Africa's resources and its vulnerable and poor people through the promotion of transformational education, resource development, investment training and strategic empowerment. Our premise is based on the notion that in order to change one's personal, national or organizational status there must necessarily be a change in the thinking and processing pattern of the mind
We envision an African continent fully developed in terms of its human and resource capacity, free from poverty; ignorance, and civil conflict and where the poorest and most vulnerable people become "leaders" and effectively manage national resources.
