Our Mission

Southern Coos Health Foundation will:

  1. Educate by bringing together community and financial resources to encourage health education
  2. Preserve quality local health care by retaining our community hospital, health center and health care professionals.
  3. Promote community collaboration to insure the future through philanthropic and public awareness of available and emerging services, opportunities and needs.
  4. Support Southern Coos Health District through a broad range of fund-raising to advance quality local health care in Bandon.

Description

Southern Coos Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports quality community healthcare services in Bandon at our Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center through fund-raising and community outreach. The Foundation is the community actively nurturing and growing our healthcare opportunities in Bandon.

Our Logo

Bandon's famed Face Rock - a unique and solid Bandon landmark, dependable, strong; a legend with a human face that endures through the ages. A fitting logo for the Southern Coos Health Foundation symbolizing our steadfast support for Southern Coos Hospital and Health Center, the finest community hospital on the West Coast, and the importance of the human faces in our community to support and preserve our healthcare opportunities.

Donations to the Foundation are used to support and enhance patient care and to provide needed services to the community. These include: Capital equipment, hospital expansion, community health education, charity care, continuing education for healthcare professionals, Foundation sustainability, and greatest need.

We host the annual Bandon "Golf for Health" Classic the last weekend in July as our largest fund-raising event.
