IHF'™s mission is to act as a positive example for what charity should grow to become. Our aid reaches the poorest communities all over the world. Our goal is to give the people the resources they need to survive and rise above their circumstances. We do this through humanitarian aide, intercultural dialogue, and the exchange of information and arts. IHF encourages understanding and caring between people of all nations and religions.
Our focus is on educating children worldwide. We bridge the gap between the uneducated and educated around the world in order to give a voice to all. Through education we assist natives in, not merely surviving but, improving their quality of life and living standards. We also strive to make sure no child is left behind due to natural disasters, war and famine.

IHF was founded in 1985 by Carol Sasaki; she is even today traveling to the different programs we have set up all over the world. We strive to reach as many peopel as possible IHF has ...

1. orphanages, training centers and schools in countries such as Kenya, Thailand, and Indonesia.
2. We host famine feeds in Africa to increase chances of survival for those enduring starvation due to droughts.
3. We have orphanages in Bali and Banda Ache to keep children from a life of sexual slavery.
4. We have several training center locations to teach the poor English and computer skills helping them to advance up the social latter.
5. We have programs to assist paying for local kids to go to school.

Along with many other programs. Our organization is 90 % volunteers. An amazing fact considering the locals at these locations are poor and still offer their time and help. We are one of the few organizations where every penny donated is giving to the kids. IHF takes no money from donations or sponsorships to pay administrative fees or company payroll.

In our San Diego office volunteers handle all Administrative duties. We have a team dedicated to the survival of the cause. Each volunteer does their part in spreading the word to people in order to get them actively involved in our cause. There is an array of experience in different areas to be gained by our volunteers. Our volunteers can earn the option to volunteer overseas.
