I have been volunteering at The Mission for a couple of months. In this time I have had the opportunity to help with various clerical duties. I have also attended functions presented by The Mission that was helping to educate the community on problems in the community. I'm also a client who has been helped by Mrs. Lucas. I have learned alot from my experience and giving back through volunteering is one way that I can help. Ms. Tiffany Gaddie

I have been volunteering at The Mission Prevention Education for Children, Youth and Young Adults since July, 2005. The work that Evangelist Nedra Lucas does is simply wonderful. Helping hurting people is her "Passion" and she does it very well. She has helped numerous individuals and families through out Metro Detroit work through their problems with her spiritually led counseling and support groups. Evangelist Lucas helps the children of her clients also through mentoring classes. I have seen first hand the impact of her sessions as the clients come to her with their trials in life and leave a different person totally healed with a new perspective on their life and situations. Her staff of volunteers is very courteous, professional and caring as well. This organization's mission is to solely help the hurting people in the community get the help they need for themselves and their families by providing help with food, clothing, utilities and current resources.
