I am still a volunteer for this organization - Not only is it a soccer program, but it also provides youth development in the areas of STEM, which is a concerning issue right now as there is a workforce gap that needs to be filled. SU fills this gap by providing STEM related curriculum after school. Another gap they are filling is the time immediately after school and before soccer starts to provide children a safe and stable environment.

My daughter(4yo) has been playing soccer with Seatac United (SU) for a year, and I have been a volunteer coach since Sept. '13. Everything SU does is focused on the kids. Not only is it important for the kids to learn soccer, but SU helps teach and build sportsmanship and social growth as well. The improvement in my daughter's understanding of the game and sense of responsibility has been wonderful. As a coach I've seen several children develop these skills as well. Off the field volunteers are constantly trying to find ways to evolve and improve as a soccer club.

In my opinion everyone in it is passion about what they do, specially the principal Mike Doughty. No one is left out and the kids enjoy going participating. It doesn't matter what the conditions are like the kids will always want to play soccer. All around I sense a tone of optimism and that makes me want to help even more because I just enjoy doing it. I think with any knowledge or experience of soccer and or leadership can be of help.
