Description
This Christian ministry was chartered in 1986 and open its doors to the public in 1987. All services are free and confidential, and are available to everyone regardless of race, religion, age or gender. Three programs offer support to both male and female clients from birth through adulthood. The Pregnancy Program provides clients with free pregnancy tests, and information on all options including parenting, adoption and abortion. The CCPC also provides material assistance to clients including maternity clothes, baby clothes, diapers, formula, and car seats. The CCPC's peer counseling programs include prenatal classes, parenting classes, financial counseling, and Bible studies. The Post-Abortion Program ministers healing to those who have experienced abortion through confidential in-depth peer-counseling sessions. The Sexual Risk Avoidance Abstinence Education Program presents truth to area public schools, group homes, youth groups and other settings. The purpose of the program is to raise awareness and reduce teen pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases by educating teenagers, parents and the community about the social, psychological and physical risks that accompany sexual activity outside of a lifelong commitment to marriage.
