Mission Statement

Children's Restoration Network (CRN) offers hope and support, enabling children and their mothers to break the cycle of homelessness by empowering them to become part of mainstream society as active productive citizens: and through programs and special events designed to address their academic, emotional, and physical needs.

Description

Our vision is to form effective community partnerships to cultivate the restoration of a positive family environment for homeless children. As a non profit agency, our focus is on the plight of homeless children in our community. In addition to meeting basic needs, CRN conducts special events to provide a broad range of positive experiences for the children and their mothers to promote healthy and happy community interaction. Since 1993, CRN has dedicated its efforts to fulfilling its vision and mission statement currently working with over 120 shelters and group homes throughout metro Atlanta. CRN also provides homeless children and mothers with basic necessities such as providing food and subsidizing rent and utilities, for shelters supplementing their food pantries, and providing furniture, housewares and other assistance for families recovering from homelessness.

CRN is a friendly organization that appreciates the time and effort that you put in to volunteer. I participated in picking up food donations and sorting out the food at the distribution site.

CRN positively effects the lives of homeless children in metro Atlanta. They have a bunch of great programs. One of the most fun is the 12 Days of Caring "Wrap Party". Me and my family have attended this the last 4 years. We sort, wrap, and personalize gifts for children in shelters. The Spirit of the Party is fantastic and it is a great opportunity for any family to spend quality time together.

CRN has the best mentors in the area. They truly love the kids in my program (Rainbow Village). They are compassionate, gentle, loving and kind. They show up on time consistently, I never have to wonder if they are going to make it. They come prepared and don't leave until the work is done. I hope that we are partners forever.
