At the end of life there a few things that most people want: To be remembered To pass down life experiences and beliefs To know their life mattered To carry on their legacy Crossroads Hospice is looking for volunteers to help fulfill these desires by helping patients create a Life Journal to pass on to their loved ones. Volunteers meet with patients to gather pictures and stories to be included in the journal. Then, using Crossroads website, will create a beautiful hard- bound Life Journal for their families to cherish for years to come. Contact the Volunteer Manager for more information. Training is required. Must be at least 16 years old to volunteer. Please contact Tiffany Fuller at tiffany.fuller@crossroadshospice.com or at 405-632-9631 for more information.

At Crossroads Hospice, we are dedicated to providing quality end-of-life care. We recognize the sacrifices that men and women of the armed forces have made in serving their country. To better care for patients who are veterans, the Crossroads Hospice staff and volunteers are educated and trained in caring for veterans at the end-of-life. Active service members and veterans are encouraged to volunteer! Here are just a few ways you can make a difference in the life of veterans with terminal diagnoses: Visits to hospice veterans in their home or nursing home Listen to their life story and reminisce with them Help create a Life Journal to give to their family Participate in our Honor Our Veterans Recognition Program Educate veterans' groups about hospice services by speaking at their meetings All volunteers must attend training and meet minimum requirements. You decide the number of hours you can dedicate each week or month and how far from your home or office you can travel. Crossroads Hospice’s volunteering program is always looking for committed and caring members of our community who want to volunteer for hospice help. If you have an interest in spending time with patients, have special talents you would like to share (i.e. singing, playing music, polishing nails, cutting hair), or want to lend a hand in our office, consider joining us as an Ultimate Giver. Turn your hobbies and talents into meaningful, fulfilling moments. All we ask for is at least 45 minutes per month of your time. No deed is too small when working with hospice patients and families. We serve the greater Oklahoma City area; therefore, we traditionally have requests in all areas, making volunteering easy. Contact the Volunteer Manager to schedule mandatory training. Must be at least 16years old to volunteer. Training is required but can be scheduled on your time. Please contact Tiffany Fuller at (405) 632-9631 or tiffany.fuller@crossroadshospice.com

Description
"Why not?" is a question we ask ourselves every day. It is the question responsible for our beginning and it has made us who we are today. "Why not?" helps us find new and better ways to deliver hospice care to patients, families, caregivers, and health care professionals alike. It helps us connect with our communities, share our knowledge, be accessible 24/7, innovate, lead, and raise the bar. "Why not?" has helped us create a hospice experience we believe is second to none...and are confident you'll agree.
Expect More From Us. We Do.
