Mission Statement

The Casey Cares Foundation provides uplifting programs to critically ill children and their families. Through our programs, we work to lighten the burden of planning an evening out or a weekend away for families that are overwhelmed with an illness in the family. With our Family Festivities Program, we give families a night out on the town, the Birthday Blast Program surprises children with a special gift on their birthday, our Kami's Jammies Program supports children by giving them a fresh pair of pajamas, and our Better Together Program encourages families who have lost a child to continue participation in our programs an additional year.

Description

The Casey Cares Foundation reaches out to critically ill children and their families by customizing uplifting and gratifying activities. It is the little pleasures in life that can make a big impact on families who must make everyday count.

My family has benefited greatly from CaseyCares when my son Braden was battling cancer. Your programs were so uplifting and heartwarming. During our very difficult time, your programs brought joy to the lives of all three of my children. When one child becomes critically ill, it becomes a battle for not only that child but for the entire family, and it's almost a financially impossibility to do even the little things. But with CaseyCares' programs, those stresses are alleviated. My children enjoyed the pajama parties and going to the movies, and had the best time at our weekend getaway to Hershey Park. Without CaseyCares, my family could not have afforded any of these. The CaseyCares foundation makes the lives of the entire family enjoyable during times of crisis, and the entire staff is so incredibly supportive. My whole family just loves CaseyCares and we all want to volunteer. I personally would love to volunteer and give back. Thank you so much!

I've been interning at the Casey Cares Foundation for about four months and I can say I really enjoyed myself. Not only did I enhance my skills but I also recieved advice about life and potiential things I might face in the future. These women are smart, kind-hearted people and I love their attitude and dedication to the organization.

I am a Spring intern for the Casey Cares Foundation. The atmosphere is so welcoming and fun, I tend to forget I am interning! It is such a great feeling knowing that you have a role in positively effecting the lives of critically ill children and their families.I highly recommend involvement in this organization as the mission is evident in everything you do here.

I have been interning with Casey Cares Foundation for a college requirement and it has been the best intern experience I have ever had. The staff is fantastic and a lot of fun, the purpose of the foundation is wonderful, and I would highly recommend volunteering or interning here!

I had the opportunity to intern at the Casey Cares Foundation during my final semester in college. I learned so much during my time here and most importantly I got to work alongside the amazing staff. The most exciting part of this experience was being able to positively impact the lives of critically ill children each day I was in the office. The work that is carried out by the staff at the Casey Cares Foundation is inspiring and I am so lucky to have had the chance to work next to such wonderful people.

I had a blast watching the adorable children smile and their creative costumes. The directors there were very friendly and kept a smile on their face. It was fun helping the children get in the right order and pumping them up to go on stage. If you love kids, you would love to volunteer for the Casey Cares Foundation!!!

Casey Cares provides uplifting activities and support to critically ill children and their families. The staff is totally committed to the kids and their families and they bring so much joy and relief to their lives. I’ve volunteered at Casey Cares for a year now and I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of this organization. The staff appreciates their volunteers’ time and effort, keeps us busy with many worthwhile projects, and lets us know that we are an integral part of the organization. I highly recommend volunteering at Casey Cares because you will help make a difference in the lives of critically ill children and their families.

I became a Casey Cares volunteer initially for two reasons; 1) I was looking for a volunteer opportunity that would work with my schedule and 2) I wanted to devote my time to a worthwhile organization. The Tuesday night Data Divas was perfect for me since I work full time and the Casey Cares Foundation is all about helping critically ill children and families - very worthwhile indeed. Everyone I've met at Casey Cares is postively energetic for the cause; and the volunteer coordinator has a most warm and genuine personality; you will instantly feel like you belong. I continue to volunteer for Casey Cares because it has surpassed my expectations; I was made to feel so welcome from day 1 - have had the opportunity to get more involved by participating in the Gala 2008 Fund Raiser and I really feel that even though I am just an occasional volunteer, I am part of something very special.

The programs that the Casey Cares Foundation provides to critically ill children and their families bring such bright smiles to the faces of the children. Everyone associated with this organization is warm and genuine with their primary goal of helping children. I would highly recommend volunteering for this organization as I have for the past 5 years.

As a Casey Cares volunteer for 8 years, I’ve seen the struggles parents face when their child is diagnosed with an illness. This organization gives them a way to deal with a very difficult journey. They provide amazing opportunities for the entire family and volunteering helps me feel a part of this process. The children are always their top priority.

Casey Cares is a great organization that helps children who are ill as well as their families. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available - from data entry and envelope stuffing work to helping with special fund-raising events. I'd definitely recommend volunteering with Casey Cares.

This is one of the few organizations of it's kind that assist the entire family of a critically ill child and keeps on giving to the family even when a child passes away. My daughter's family was helped directly by Casey Cares while my grandaughter was ill and have been very kind and caring though this first year without her. I have begun some projects in my granddaughter's honor and am proud to say that Casey Cares has embraced them and made them a part of their organization to assist us once again by helping to build a legacy for her. All of the staff is wonderful, compassionate and makes every volunteer feel as though they are appreciated and making a difference.
