Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide financial assistance for medical expenses to families of children who are ill in the Washington DC Metro area to allow families to better focus on supporting their children during their time of need.

Description

The Joe Cassella Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization born from the loss of an amazing man and inspired by the overwhelming support his family received throughout the journey.

The financial burden created when a child needs medical care or is hospitalized can become overwhelming for parents. We help children ages 0-17 years old currently undergoing treatment for an illness or injury. The child must be a resident of Virginia, Maryland or Washington D.C. All financial assistance is determined on a case-by-case basis based on the needs of the child and the family.
