Watermelon Mountain Ranch works very hard to shelter & care for lost, strayed, unwanted or abandoned dogs & cats. Volunteers are needed for foster care, to help run mobile adoption clincs, to help care for animals housed at the Ranch, general office work, and a variety of other tasks.
Mission Statement
Watermelon Mountain Ranch, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, is dedicated to the belief that all living creatures should be cared for and protected. The care and shelter of companion animals (lost, strayed, unwanted, or abandoned) until they can be reunited with their owners or adopted out to new homes is the major focus for Watermelon Mountain Ranch.

if you dont want your pet u don't have to take it to the shelter or kill it. You can take it to watermelon Ranch and they will make sure that the pet finds a good home and that he is safe.This is what i would do if i couldn't care of my animals anymore,but i would not give to the pound or a kill shelter. NO WAY
