Mission Statement

The Muscular Dystrophy Association's mission is to foster and promote the alleviation of the conditions of persons with muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular diseases through support of basic and applied research seeking the causes and effective treatments for these diseases. MDA believes the medical management and day-to-day well-being of those it serves are also vitally important and, accordingly, provides broad range of patient and community services in tadem with its support of potentially life saving research
