Mission Statement

Give Kids The World Village is an 84-acre, nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families.

Description

The Village and its community partners provide children and their families accommodations in fully-furnished villas, transportation, tickets to theme parks, meals, daily entertainment and much more.

Each year 27,000 children in the United States are diagnosed with a critical illness. Half of all children eligible for a wish through a partnering wish-granting organization choose to visit Central Florida and its collection of theme parks and other attractions.

Our goal, quite simply, is to provide everything these deserving families need to make their trip the vacation of a lifetime. Since 1986, more than 165,000 children and families have had their dreams fulfilled in a whimsical Village unlike any other place on earth.

Each week the Village fills more than 1,700 volunteer shifts to help create priceless memories for every wish family that visits the Village. To learn more about volunteer opportunities please visit www.gktw.org/volunteer.

GKTW Village is amazing for the children and families who stay there; they have thought of everything!! There's something fun to do all the time, and so much to look at; the architecture is perfect for kids. Greeting the families when they first arrive at the airport is so much fun, they are so excited! The looks on their faces are precious, and so are they. Come join us, it's a great volunteer job!!!

Very rewarding to assist the Make A Wish children and families who come to Central Florida and stay at Give Kids the World.
