GMDVP has two focuses: client services and education. Client services include crisis intervention, safe home network, first/last-month rent program, support groups, legal advocacy, emotional support and referrals - primarily working with clients during their transition out of their abusive relationship. Educational efforts consist of grassroots community education, coordinated media campaigns to help gay men self-identify as domestic violence victims, and trainings for service providers.
Mission Statement
GMDVP's mission is to support victims and survivors through education, advocacy and direct services. We serve men in relationships with men, regardless of how they identify, and stand ready to assist them in navigating through abusive relationships.
