Description

Peak Vista’s First Visitor Program is a child abuse prevention program, by helping families with education, support and community resources.

The First Visitor Program offers one-on-one support for parents in the comfort of their own home thru these three programs:

Program A: Prenatal to 12 months- Celebrates the birth and welcomes the baby into the community.

Program B: 12 to 24 months- Focuses on helping parents promote and encourage language development, proper nutrition and portion size.

Program C: 24 to 36 months- Focuses on positive guidance and discipline, social-emotional development and the importance of parent-child development.

First Visitor staff provides Family Support Services, collaboration between providers and families with children under age 3 to identify family-driven goals, to facilitate and coordinate care, and to provide cohesion with other community professionals to strengthen and increase family resilience
